Gospel Musician Dr Tumi and his partner were discharged on R3000 bail every by the industrial Crimes court sitting in Palm Ridge on Tuesday.
The couple Dr Tumi, real name Tumisang Makweya and Kgaogelo Makweya bimanual themselves on Tuesday to the Hawks and were in remission and charged with fraud amounting to R1.5 million.
According to the Hawks, it’s alleged that the suspects, Doctor Tumi (39) and his partner Kgaogelo (36) were listed as committee members at a non-profit organisation, allegedly submitted altered grant application documents to the National Lotteries Board for approval of funds on comes in 2018.
Further investigation disclosed that the couple along side their co-accused World Health Organization has since been discharged on R5000 bail every, Chistopher Tshivule (46) and Thomas Ndadza (48) allegedly altered data on the documents submitted to the National Lotteries in Sept 2018 that resulted within the quantity of over R1.5 million being transferred into a non-public checking account,“ Hawks aforesaid during a statement.
The couple allegedly benefitted roughly R760 000 from the funds. “They bimanual themselves in at the metropolis workplace escorted by their lawyer and were afterwards charged for fraud.
